I believe this story approach to living the Christian life is so powerful because being a story it has the ability to reach our hearts without us putting up walls. That makes this story life giving.

There is so much great writing in this devotional story. Good reminders, approaching things differently, as well as learning how to live in the Kingdom of God ~ three wonderful reasons to get this book, for all Christians on any walk of Christianity.

THE KINGDOM CHILD -- Read it waaay faster than 40 days! This devotional was so stinkin’ good! Every day has a story, scripture, and reflection. The story is continuous through the book, and we get to go on a journey with the Kingdom Child.

Should you wish to return to what you were, traveler, there are two ways. You go backward or onward…
The King has brought you through the wilderness — proof of His love — but He is still King! And you… Well, you’re still a child in all the ways that matter.
You have sought His kingdom and found it, but you find before you a broken kingdom with broken people, who have their own ideas of what it means to serve the King.

What a page-turner. Although I knew that Max and Jenna were meant to be together, the story kept throwing obstacles between them and kept me guessing about how they would get past each one.
