This book is unique. I love how the author combined the tropes of falling for royalty and fake engagement with more serious and important topics. We have politics, intrigue, intricate world-building, love, fighting for what you believe in, secrets—all in a retelling of one of the most interesting stories in the bible.

KING OF THE CROWN IMPERIALS -- Wow. This story was…inspiring. While I was so excited to reach the epic ending, I didn’t quite want the story to finish.

KING OF THE CROWN IMPERIALS -- When I was younger I read a lot of Biblical fiction, though I haven’t much lately. Hadassah (Esther) was a favorite. Her story and “for such a time as this” was one main lesson passed on to me by my mother. I adored how well this book fits into the description “Esther Biblical Fiction.” It embodies it.

PRODIGALS ONCE -- "Prodigals Once" was the perfect conclusion to this beautiful series. It's unique in that very few books show how the couples that have already found their HEA are doing down the road (be it after their engaged and/or married years down the road.) For that, I was both looking forward to and dreading reading this book, yet Joanna Alonzo pulled it off beautifully

THE ONE WHO TRIPPED AWAY — The One Who Tripped Away was the story (and reminder) I didn't know I needed. Hannah and Knox's story wasn't one I particularly looked forward to after finishing The One Who Wrote Away, and thus, I certainly related to Hannah's character at the beginning of this book... There are certainly two sides to every story, and Knox's was heartbreaking (just as I imagined it'd be.) It was interesting though, to realize that all along most of his choices had come from his wrestling to come to the Light.

A book trailer I created for Dear John, a story of grace by Betty Collier.
I wasn’t expecting to get Hannah and Knox’s story, but I’m so glad I did... Hannah and Knox were so different, but both needed a touch from their Savior... This was another beautiful love story, not just between Hannah and Knox, but between God and his children.

I found each story within this book very compelling. We all have a bit of the prodigal son and brother within us. Too often we take God’s grace for granted or treat it recklessly.
