You’ve encountered Him. You remember where, how, and when. The Truth lives inside you, and you know He is real. Maybe your acquaintance with the Almighty is new or perhaps you’ve known Him your entire life. Either way, you find in your innermost being a deep dissatisfaction. It is caused by a reality acknowledged by everyone who has experienced a real, life-changing encounter with Him: Once you experience Him, you’ll want to experience Him more.
For Him, you would surrender everything. To pursue Him has become your ultimate passion, your divine obsession. To go deeper in your relationship with Him, you are willing to submit yourself to His Lordship. The thought of Him coming to you and saying, “Follow Me” makes your heart leap with delight — even if following Him means embarking on a road of sacrifice. The idea of pursuing Him, dying to self, and embracing the cross makes you tremble inside, but you pursue Him still, because you love Him. You are desperate for Him, so despite the apprehension, you say “Yes”. To His bidding, you find your answer will always be “Yes”. He is the Priceless Pearl for which you would lay down everything to obtain.
If these are true of you, if these words awaken in you an ache to know Him as He knows you, then the woman in the wilderness is you.
I pray His grace, mercy, and love abound in you as you embark in life’s glorious pursuit of He Who is worth giving your life to.

He is alluring you. You sense it, you are familiar with His still, soft whispers, coaxing you to Come, come as you are, and you take a step toward His direction, only to find a wilderness in between.
Thus, your journey begins.
