Paradox A.R.T. | The One Who Shot Away
With every book I release, I try to build an Advanced Readers Team (ART) to build buzz for the book and bring in early reviews upon the book’s launch. Below are some of the Paradox ART reviews for this book.
Several reviewers often post the same reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and/or Bookbub, as well as on their social media feeds. Links on this page will often link to the social media post, if available. If not, it will link to the Amazon, Goodreads, or Bookbub review (in that order, depending on availability).

WOW!!!! Joanna Alonzo once again took a "difficult" subject and allowed GOD to use her!! Jeremy and Rachel's story is not your "normal" Christian Fiction but I can honestly say I felt God's Grace while reading their story.

There is just so much in this book!!! Jeremy made me want to scream at first, but then I got to see a lot of Godly characteristics in him. Rachel had so many things weighing on her heart. Will she finally be able to find grace in this story? And maybe even from an unexpected place?

This clean, Christian based romance highlights, through the characters, that we are all sinners who needs God’s grace and mercy. And we can be lights for God. This contained a very controversial story line yet often the topic is hidden and not spoken about. Glad this book addressed it!

I really liked how the author dealt with some pretty heavy subjects. She didn’t shy away from the hard things Christians are faced with in light of the state of the world today. But she stood on the truth of God’s Word and I commend her for that.

THE ONE WHO SHOT AWAY -- I loved this book... There is so much life in these books. I love how Alonzo isn’t afraid to tackle the tough and gritty issues and she does it with such humility and grace. I especially love that she included an LGBT+ angle.

For me, it emphasized the reality that we are all broken people in need of God and apart from Him we are of no purpose at all. I'd say that this book addresses struggles in our walk with Christ that aren't talked about much or are very much shunned by many and the fact that the author addressed it in the book made it really amazing and helpful.

Woahh impressive how Joanna tackled a pretty controversial topic around Christians these days and managed to deal with it well. Now a days we really need more authors like this.
